Entertainment is a good thing. But in excess one can start to get sick.
But here’s the twist… have more entertainment and get rewarded. Sounds great? These rewards range from financial to non. At that point it’s no longer entertainment. It’s a commitment of time or exercise in abilities. Which is exactly what a job is.
It’s entertainment up until the rewards kick in. Being rewarded for a challenge is a good thing. The problem is when the reward requires one to spend weeks to get the reward. After that there’s nothing quite like it ( i.e. a replacement, such as other games). The only replacement is work/study…to sink one’s time into
